ABOUT US

Promoting Japanese Tea Ceremony and the Related Arts

Since our founding in 2012, we have been working to enrich the Penn State community by offering education, research, and travel opportunities in the study of Japanese Tea Ceremony. We are also the only place outside of Japan to offer lessons in two of the largest schools of Japanese Tea Ceremony: Urasenke and Omotesenke, both dating back hundreds of years to feudal Japan. Our programs are student-run and promote cultural literacy across individuals of all backgrounds.

Please stop by our tea house in 34 Ritenour Building (a.k.a. The TeaParker Teahouse) if you would like to learn more, or check out our Upcoming Events page.
